ESA or CSA Equipment Installation

The Canadian Standard Association (CSA) develops rules and regulation around safety. They look after electrical and other safety standards.

The Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) are the regulators of safe practices of electrical installations in Ontario. All machinery and electrical wiring utilized in Ontario require an ESA inspection upon installation.

If there are modifications or adjustments to a previously inspected piece of equipment, TechElectric is required to get a new inspection completed. In many cases the manufacturer of the equipment may not have left room for expansion, so if adding to the machine is part of our automation or electrical work, we must ensure that the services are not overloaded thereby creating an unsafe application. In addition to leaving a company and its workers vulnerable to accidents, not having ESA or CSA inspections could result in fines and possible jail time. Our job at TechElectric is to keep everyone safe and ensure inspections are completed.

TechElectric has coordinated over 1,300 ESA industrial inspections over the course of our business. We have the experience and know-how to ensure we meet and exceed all safety standards.
